BIO
Oisín O’Brien (b.1986, Dublin) lives and works between Dublin and London. His practice is a way to extend the absurdity of being in, and of the world, both socially and culturally. This occurs through a quest for sense making that is paralleled by a need to be emancipated from it. His working processes combine hand crafted, procured and found elements. Previously this has manifested through a combination of mixed media sculptural installation, painting, text, video and the dissemination of data amongst others.
Recent exhibitions include A Hang to Lap IT Off (solo), Sexy frog biscuit, London, 2019; Dearly Beloved… curated by Emma Lucy O’Brien, Visual, Carlow, Ireland 2019.
